Who We Help

GRC supports individuals, couples, community groups, families and family businesses in difficult moments of transition and change.

Lorene provides guidance to initiative takers who want to strengthen their capacity to handle new ventures.

How We Help

GRC offers training in communication skills through modeling empathetic listening.

Specifically, in conflict situations, Lorene highlights the needs of all parties concerned and offers perspective and clarification. She helps identify underlying intentions in order to achieve a positive social resonance between the individuals concerned. This allows a path forward to emerge.

The Process

When meeting families in baffling transitions, Lorene facilitates moving though denial to bring about shared perspectives, where loss, confusion and distrust have caused distance and loneliness.

Cultivating an environment of acceptance and understanding, Lorene demonstrates the greater possibility of respect and tolerance. She assists with identifying crucial themes and unresolved obstacles, and she brings mastery to untangle knots of confusion that release tensions.

Mentors

In 1999, because my family of origin threatened to dismantle our cohesive, multi-generational family and the family business, I began working with Marshall Rosenburg, who developed Non-Violent Communication techniques. I found so much healing and inner solace in my learning at NVC that I stayed involved in the San Francisco Bay Area from 2000 to 2010, while still working with my family and the family business.

At the BayNVC, I worked closely with Kit Miller and Miki and Inbal Kashtan. I have also been privileged to work with Dominic Barter and Robert Gonzales. And most recently, I have moved to Amsterdam NL to study NVC based mediation with Yoram Mozenson.

My Practice

I have taught and led training groups in Sonoma County, CA, USA, since 2010.
I also work with individuals, couples and families in Amsterdam and where I am called to support people in the world.
